The Neckmike headset has become very popular among MC-drivers, snowmobile-drivers etc., for communication between front and rear on your MC, and also between MC:s. The range between MC:s is communicated by PMR-radio, and is normally about 500-600 mtr. Everybody with the same type of equipment in that area can have good communication with each other.
This is a much better function comparted to the Bluetooth intercom systems, which are limited to 3 users within a range of 50-300 mtr, depending on the conditions.

MC-Neckmike consists of a smart combination with a Neckmike and two microspeakers, connected to noise-cancelling earplugs.
The neck-microphone catches the user’s voice directly from the neckskin. Thanks to a special filter, the voice sounds almost as in an ordinary microphone, and nearly all the disturbing noise around is effectively shut off.
The two noise-cancelling earplugs effectively shuts off the environment noise, and the inbuilt speakers lets the sound directly in the ears. Neckmike is not yet classified as hearing protection civilian, but military tests shows that when you have chosen the earplugs that fits your ear with good tightening, you receive approx. 25dB cancelling of outside noise, which is as effective as when you put your fingers in your ears. When you are sitting on a MC/Snowmobile it’s nearly as quiet as inside of a car, you can still hear the traffic and the engine, but on a pleasant level.
The communication between front and rear, or between MC:s, can be done without irritating windnoise or similar disturbing noise, thanks to Neckmikes patented function. You can easily connect GSM or GPS by using different connecting cables.
The Neckmike is delivered with three sizes of soft and elastic earplugs for the earspeakers. The earplugs can be washed in water and soap, and you can also buy them as a special spare part.
The cable between the Neckmike headset and the PMR-radio can very easily be as long as you wish, just by a simple procedure you can correct the length, depending on if you want your comradio in your innerpocket, or in the tankbag.
When sending to your colleagues, you’re just pushing the PTT-button switch when you are speaking, and keep off the button when you are listening. You just place the PTT-button on the gashandle or your pointfinger by velcro.
The advantages with PMR-comradio compared to using Bluetooth headset system are several:
“No mounting inside the helmet is needed. The Neckmike is placed on you and is not mounted in the helmet. That means that you can use you Neckmike in a lot of other working areas, not just MC and Snowmobile.
“You have very good range between the MC:s, about 500-600 mtr. Real range for Bluetooth systems is a lot shorter.
“Everybody that are connected to PMR can talk to each other, with Bluetooth you are limited to three persons.
“You use rechargeable batteries type AAA, or dry batteries with very long operating time, approx. 45 hours of good communication. Bluetooth system has just inbuilt rechargeable batteries that have to be charged, which can be a problem when you are on a long journey and maybe is camping.
